updates for downdogs.

a few changes to help you hit the mats.

Hey team,

With 2019 now in full swing you may have noticed we’ve had quite a few people hitting the mats lately. Our community of loyal members is growing every week and likewise, there’s been a heap of fresh new faces rolling into the studio too. What’s been truly inspiring though, is how you’ve all made each other feel so welcome in the space. So please consider this email a rather big thank you from myself and the rest of the team at here.

With increased numbers come some new challenges – namely making sure you can all hit the mats when you’re wanting to practice. We’ve recently made a number of changes to help this. You can read the full policy changes in our updated Terms and Conditions, but if you’re like us and have better things to do with your time, here are the major take-aways.

  • We’ve reduced the cancellation window on all group yoga and pilates classes down to two hours (previously 12hrs). This means it’s far easier to ‘early-cancel’ and there is no penalty whatsoever for cancellations made prior to two hours before the listed start time on a class. Because let’s face it, plans change.
  • If you’re buying casual passes, (eg, a drop-in or ten-pass) it will now be easier to ‘early-cancel’ and avoid losing your pass should you not be able to attend.
  • Due to an increasing number of ‘no-shows’ (people booking on unlimited passes but not actually attending the class), we’re introducing a small late-cancellation penalty. Now if you’re on an unlimited pass (eg, 66 days of Slow, Direct-debit or Upfront 6 Month memberships) and you ‘late-cancel’ (eg, less than two hours prior to the start time) you’ll lose a day from the length of your membership. We want to avoid bringing in penalty fees themselves, and I’m hoping you can understand this new policy is intended to help create more opportunities for you all to practice.

With this in mind, if you’re trying to book into a class and it’s currently full, check back at approximately 2-3 hours before the start time and you may find some mats open up.

Thanks for all your ongoing support, our studio wouldn’t be the same without you. We’ve got a heap of cool things in store for you all this year and I can’t wait to share them with you over the coming months.

Catch you on the mats,

Charlie Murray
